“No Way Back” is a suspenseful psychological drama that takes place in a Dutch refugee centre. The story revolves around a Dutch employee, Mark, who befriends one of the centre's inhabitants, Said. When Said is forced to leave Holland by the authorities, Mark learns how differences between fact and intuition often give a conflicting sense of reality.

Shariff Korver

Biography

Shariff Korver is one of our young, very talented directors. He grew up in both Venezuela and the Netherlands. In 2011 he graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy. His graduation film NO WAY BACK won de Nassenstein Prize for Best Student Film and Scenecs Debut Film Award. Furthermore, the film was selected for the official programs of the San Sebastian Film Festival and the Munich Film Festival and was awarded the Young CIVIS Media Prize by the members of the European Parliament.
His debut feature film THE INTRUDER premiered at the Toronto International Film festival in 2014, where it was very well received. THE INTRUDER has been selected for various international festivals, and it won the Best Movie, and Best Director Award at the First Time Fest in New York.

In 2015 Shariff directed five episodes of PENOZA, a popular TV series in the Netherlands. In 2016 he directed six episodes of ZWARTE TULP, a TV series made for the on demand platform Videoland from RTL, and three episodes of KLEM, a new TV series for VARA (nomination Golden Calf, Dutch TV-Award). In 2017 he made his own tv series, FENIX, an 8 episode epos about crime and family in Brabant. FENIX premiered at the prestigious Rotterdam Film Festival in January 2018 and will air on KPN the first of March 2018. For 25FPS Shariff has already made several commercials for Albert Heijn.
