Miguel López Beraza


Miguel López Beraza is a documentary film director born in Madrid, Spain 1984. His ‘Opera Prima’, Walls, won the Goya Award in 2015 for the best documentary short film. Walls had it´s premiere in DokLeipzig and took part in numerous festivals winning awards in Alcances, DocumentaMadrid, MiradasDoc, Atlantidoc (Uruguay), Regensburg Bavarian Television Prize (Germany) among others.

From 2012 to 2014 he participated in DOCNOMADS, a program from the European Union where 23 directors from all over the world were selected for a Masters degree in docu­mentary film direction. He has also studied at the Film School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV) Cuba and holds a MSc and BA in Architecture.
