Wouter Stoter studied Graphic Design at the Rietveld Art Academy, after he finished his studies in Political Science (at the same time he tried to make it as a rock star, in which he clearly did not succeed). As a designer he did motion graphic leaders for film festivals and music videos, which got him international acclaim. The promo for Dutch band Coparck even made it to one of the best promos of 2007. According to Spin Magazine (US):“It does in four minutes what most movies can’t do in 90” .
In 2008 Wouter’s career was launched at Czar, he was featured in Shots magazine as ‘New Director’. His work evolved into visually strong- and personal commercial films and music videos. Besides his commercial work Stoter shot two short fiction films of which ‘A day off’ was nominated for a Golden Calf for Best Short at the 2015 Netherlands Film Festival.
