Are you a Spectrophilic?
The red eyes in Anhell69 are a mix of different concepts and ideas. First an homage to Apitchapong’s red-eyed creature in uncle boonmee, second an homage to the disappeared of my city Medellin (The black figures in my film are a real installation of mothers and fathers whose relatives have disappeared – made to give shape to those they have never found) and finally an inspiration from the gargoyles that are still during the day and have life at night.
What do you do when you are creating?
I spend a lot of time on the internet, it’s part of my creative process. I upload to the cloud my unconscious, my fears, my desires.
